Gofrey "Chief" Koti is a young Zimbabwean, who is propelling the development and promotion agenda across Africa through Sports, Tourism, Reputation Management and Top Public Relations Companies in Africa. He has made it his mission to broadly share African stories, whilst curating collaborative opportunities for Youth Empowerment and mentorship within Zimbabwe and throughout the continent.

 

With over 10 years experience across various industries, Chief Koti, as he is affectionately known, is currently the Head of Corporate Affairs at the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. In this role he was part of the team that was recognised for promoting Destination Zimbabwe, where the country was named 3rd Must Visit in the 2019/20 Travel Season by International Travel Guides. In March 2020, he was appointed the President of the Zimbabwe Institute of Public Relations. A seasoned spokesperson and brand ambassador with experience in the Broadcasting, Entertainment, Media, Sports Management, Tourism and Communication sector Chief Koti has become a house hold name and much sought-after personality.

A Thought Leader, Game Changer and Visionary, Chef Koti is true testament of what can be achieved when one preservers, works hard and has a strong personal belief. Grounded in his faith, Chief Koti is on a pursuit to change the narrative and perceptions of Africans across the globe.

A Message To You

As you navigate the journey of your life, it is crucial that you figure out what your element is. Determine how the environment functions around you - Are you going to sink or swim? I believe that the Youth, specifically, must step up. There is a new brand of Leaders from an African perspective, in order to become one you need to go out, build your brand, tell your story. You determine who you are going to be at the end of the day. Know your importance.
